At the end of October, Bucharest was the venue for top representatives of various ministries, local government and the private sector in Romania to converge at the conference mapping out European policies regarding information and communication technologies for the 2014-2020 period (Digital Agenda 2014-2020).
The conference created space for discussion between institutions, state administration bodies and companies that provide solutions. The aim was to look at the use of IT technologies from various perspectives (legislative, process changes, technological innovations) when kick-starting the economy, raising competitiveness and improving the living standard of the population. Those taking part in the discussions spoke also about possibilities for implementing these projects with the help of European funds as part of Digital agenda programmes, while presenting and exchanging experiences from projects to date.
Representatives of PosAm presented the solution Data Centre of Towns and Villages (DCOM). The areas dealt with by DCOM: increasing the standard of IT infrastructure of towns and villages, improving options for using information technologies for office workers, citizens and for the whole of public administration, while making services available to citizens, are themes that are topical also in Romania and the presented solution from PosAm therefore drew a lot of interest and received some excellent feedback.
